Fern Lake

from $30.00
This image is available for the following products: Metal Prints, Canvas Prints, Framed Prints, Acrylic Wall Prints, Acrylic Blocks Fern Lake in RMNP holds a very special place to me personally. This past summer during the excursion getting this image I got engaged here! Shortly afterwards during the 2020 wildfire season Fern Lake burned. It is likely to take on the order of 150 years to return to state you see in the above image. From what I can gather… this was some of the last images ever taken of this lake and likely will be for many years to come. The access trail has since been closed and will not reopen for several years. A true travesty and a reminder of the loss that comes with wildfires.
